In our very first expansion post, we wrote about the fact that you can see special machines in several places next to the track. That’s when the test piles started.

Work has been ongoing ever since, as dozens of bridges have to be rebuilt or completely rebuilt because the expanded track, the 2×3 + stopping lane, will no longer fit under them.

Test piling is used to check the soil bearing capacity in specific areas.

But not only these, other preparatory work is also underway alongside the track, and in some cases even in the inner dividing lane.
