By 2030, we make the following commitments to become one of the safest, greenest, and most innovative highway operators in Europe.

The construction of the new M200 and M8 expressways will begin, the expansion of the M7 is underway, and the M1 will be expanded to three lanes. In line with our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, we will recycle at least 50% of the materials from demolished structures during investments. As part of our fight against climate change, we will introduce selective waste collection at all rest areas, and we will apply water retention and recycling technologies when designing newly constructed road sections.

In our facilities, the use of renewable energy will reach at least 30%. On the road network we operate, electric charging options will achieve full coverage, and at least one hydrogen refueling station will be established. We will provide real-time monitoring on the expanded sections, using installed cameras to monitor the condition, traffic, and environment of the respective road network, and we will intervene immediately to reduce accident risks. We will assist road inspections using drones across the entire network we operate.

MKIF Zrt. provides an opportunity through information and communication tools for travelers to receive real-time updates on the current state of the highways, while we respond thoroughly to all incoming complaints. We will carry out planned operational and maintenance work that obstructs traffic outside of peak hours, thus ensuring the continuous smoothness of traffic.
