The second stage of the Tour de Hongrie took place on the M44 between Szarvas and Lakitelek.
Of the longest stage of this year’s Tour de Hongrie, the 206-kilometre Szarvas – Paks, 41 kilometres were covered on the M44 motorway, which traverses the beautiful landscapes of the Great Plain.
There are 33 bridges on the route, of which 20 bridges and 13 overpasses were crossed by cyclists. They also crossed two major bridges, the M44 Berkó Körös Bridge and the M44 Tisza Bridge.
In preparation for the competition, our colleagues formed a bicycle from snow blades in the yard of the MKIF Lakitelek Engineering Office, while our company’s logo was made from striped boards.
The winner of today’s stage was Benoit Cosnefroy. The yellow jersey for the leading cyclist in the overall race was presented by Tamás Kertesi, Deputy Technical Director in Paks.
Congratulations to all the riders, we wish them further success for the next days and thank you to the Tour de Hongrie team for the smooth cooperation!
