This week, temperatures are not expected to go above zero during the day, snow will arrive in several waves and at night there could be hard frosts!
Our engineers work non-stop on the motorway network under our management: preventive snow ploughing, de-icing, and snow plowing and snow removal on sections affected by snowfall where the snow layer reaches 4-5 cm.
It’s important to point out: we may not be just ahead of you – but we’ve certainly been there, salted it and will go again if necessary! Our colleagues are constantly working on the field.
On a lightly trafficked road, the salt starts to exert its melting effect from the bottom up, but to make the road “black” it is also necessary that the traffic “kneading” effect is also exerted on the already sanded road, thus making the road salty.
Passing snowploughs in convoys is FORBIDDEN!
- In order to ensure proper salting and removal, snow ploughs and salt spreaders must not travel at speeds of more than 60 km/h.
- The stretch of road ahead may not have been fully cleared or may have been previously salted. Overtaking at this time can therefore be particularly dangerous: a skid due to acceleration can lead to a serious accident.
- Please help us by respecting the Highway Code!
Please start your journey on time and allow for longer travel times!
We ask everyone to drive according to the weather, road and visibility conditions: – keep a greater following distance, – slow down if necessary, – only drive with a vehicle in good condition and winter tyres!
We are on track. Together, with you.
