On the side of the track on the Budapest side (between Óbarok – Tatabánya – Újváros), embankment foundations and widening works are underway at several locations.

A temporary track structure will be built on these embankments, so that during the widening of the Hegyeshalom side, traffic will be able to run on 2+2 lanes in both directions on the Budapest side.

A network of geodetic bases has been installed for the construction of the embankments, allowing the machines to work in the area with centimetre accuracy and under constant control.
