In addition to pavement reinforcements and tree felling, archaeological trial excavations continue, but now outside the fence.
The staff of the National Archaeological Institute of the MNMKK Hungarian National Museum are carrying out the so-called test excavations which are necessary for the preparation of the preliminary archaeological documentation.
These preliminary studies are necessary to minimise the number of archaeological sites that may be unexpectedly discovered during the construction period, as an unimaginable amount of earth will be moved during the expansion.
