Preparations for the expansion of the M1 motorway continue.
Another spectacular work is underway in several places along the motorway, which does not yet affect traffic on the main line.
Other preparatory works (test piling operations, archaeology, mapping of utilities, bomb-tech, etc.) were supported by the clearance of shrubs and other vegetation of the embankment.
Why is this an important stage?
In the section to be expanded, bushes and shrubs would hinder excavation and all other construction activities. This preparatory work will speed up other processes and allow for more efficient work organisation.
The motorway will not be left without green areas: Once the new track is formed, the eradicated shrubs will be replaced by trees, shrubs and bushes closer to the fence.
Protected and specially protected plants have already been relocated where it was necessary. We reported on this in a separate post earlier. These plants are now safe. Stay tuned, we’ll be back with another important diary entry soon!
