Operation
MKIF Infrastructure Management Plc. was established to provide a higher level of service and to make the use of motorways as smooth and safe as possible.
Our staff are constantly on the road to check the condition of the pavement, regularly clean the pavement and off-road areas, maintain drainage systems, mow and maintain the vegetation around the road.
They install the necessary traffic signs, operate and update digital signalling equipment to support the flow of traffic, paint road signs, and ensure that rest areas and public toilets are in good condition. During winter, our colleagues clear snow and, depending on the weather, deice roads. After an accident, they make the concerned road section usable again.
We work to make sure everyone gets home safe and sound.
Development contributors
MKIF Plc., together with other companies, is responsible for the development tasks undertaken in the contract. These are the so-called Development Contractors, which will be involved in the construction of 279 km of new motorway sections and 299 km of motorway extensions over the next 10 years. During the 35-year concession period, the Development Contractors will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the entire network under management.
