It is planned to open the new bridge over the M7 near Lake Venice to pedestrians and cyclists as early as spring.
In the next few days, our staff will carry out the electrical installation of the bridge lighting and the paving of the copper cone, followed by the preparation of the salt corrosion protection coating of the track slab, provided that the temperature conditions meet the technological requirements.
Work is also underway to improve the area around the bridge, with new street furniture and planting in the coming months.
After the test load, scheduled for February, the technical handover of the bridge can begin, followed by its opening to traffic.
In the vicinity of the bridge, traffic restrictions on the M7 motorway are only in force on the side towards Lake Balaton, where a speed limit of 80 km/h is currently in force for a short stretch.
Demolition of the old bridge will only start after the new bridge is in place, probably in May.
Please drive carefully!
