From Friday night to Saturday night, 100 of our machines worked across the country to clear the roads, spreading 1,000 tonnes of salt and 170,000 litres of solution over the 1,300 km of motorway network we operate.

The sections managed by MKIF Zrt. were all passable at 10.00 on Saturday, with no disruptions or congestion.

Road conditions are dry and wet with temperatures ranging from -8 to -1 degrees Celsius. On Saturday morning, the air will be hazy and misty on the M4 and M44 motorways and south of Lake Balaton, with slightly reduced visibility, but above 500 metres everywhere else.

We have 170 machines on standby across the country, and 25,000 tonnes of road salt and half a million litres of special solutions in our engineering warehouses.

It is important that everyone should continue to drive only with a vehicle in good technical condition, equipped with winter tyres, sufficient fuel and with sufficient driving skills!
