In preparation for the M1 motorway extension, we held a forum in Ács on Wednesday 14 May and in Tatabánya on Tuesday 20 May for residents and people living in the surrounding villages, as we believe it is important for them to get first-hand, reliable information.
Participants were informed about the project and had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered in detail by Tamás Kertesi, Deputy Chief Technical Officer, György Kozári, Technical Director, Sándor Macher, Project Director and László Szimicsku, Communications Director.
Next Tuesday, 27 May at 17:00, we will hold a public forum in Bicske.
The M1, 78 km long, will be widened to 2×3 lanes between the M0 and the Concó rest area from this year, and there will also be 1 intelligent stopping lane (ITS) per side, which will be opened depending on traffic conditions, accidents, rush hour or work.
Under the terms of the contract with the state, the M1 motorway to Bicské will be completed in 3 years, by 31 August 2028, and the M1 motorway to Concó rest area will be widened in 4 years, with a completion date of 31 August 2029.
