Traffic Restrictions at the M1-M0 Junction

We would like to inform you that from 7 April 2025, due to renovation work, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced in several stages at the M1-M0 junction on the side leading to Budapest.

In the first phase, traffic will be regulated at the indicated junction as follows:

  • From the M1 motorway towards Budapest, traffic will only be allowed in one lane, the inner lane, in the direction of the eastern section of the M0 motorway. Exit towards Tópark will be possible. Due to traffic restrictions, congestion is expected during peak hours.

We would like to inform you that during the entire construction period, it will not be possible to access the M1 motorway towards Budapest at Biatorbágy. During the closure, you can access the motorway towards Budapest via the Sasfészek-tó rest stop or via the roundabout at the shopping centres on main road 1 towards Budapest.

Our map of the temporary traffic restrictions is available at the link below:

  • The yellow-marked route leading from the M1 motorway to the M0 highway has one lane, and exiting towards Tópark is possible.
  • The Biatorbágy on-ramp, marked red, will be closed in its full width, it will not be possible to drive onto the M1 motorway towards Budapest from here.
  • From Biatorbágy towards Budapest, you can access the M1 motorway via the Sasfészek rest stop on the designated blue route. However, this option is not recommended as there is a high risk of congestion on the M1, especially at peak hours.

Therefore, from Biatorbágy to the M1 motorway towards Budapest, there are other possible proposed routes:

  • Green route: On the main road 1 towards Budapest, you can access the M1 motorway towards Budapest via the roundabout at the shopping centres.
  • Purple route: Continue along the M1 until the junction of Légimentő / Gyár utca, then turn right towards the M1 motorway, where you can follow the signs to the Budapest side of the M1.

We expect the closures to be in place until 7 July.
